What were the chances of Ruth’s survival? — Or, for that matter, what of our own . . .
The Book of Ruth surfaces at a time in which the question emerges: how can “this people” possibly survive — bearing in mind: sickness, famine, war, fatigue, along with a constant sense of being constantly berated, negatively judged, and blamed?
Even today, in our own times, this question lingers. Who do we rely upon – Should it be “others” or should it be us? Can we rely on “others” — can we ever contemplate going it alone? Sometimes, “others” keep us in a state of vulnerability because of their own political concerns — and for the record: these political concerns rarely correspond to moral or ethical concerns. Please bear this in mind when evaluating who you think is a “friend” or a”guardian” — or both.
It wasn’t that long ago in 1941, when many in the world had surrendered or were not surprisingly overrun. Remember the famous quote of Chamberlain: “Peace in our times.” And to be sure, many had joined with the other side. For the historical record, Fascism was popular around the globe, not just in Germany. After Pearl Harbor, Americans across the spectrum had to rely on our own young people, in what some would later call ‘the greatest generation’ – can we do the same today?
Here, let’s consider the historical record, from the beginning of the Book of Numbers:
“All the Israelite males, aged twenty years and over, enrolled by ancestral houses, all those in Israel who were able to bear arms— וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ כּל־הַפְּקֻדִ֔ים שֵׁשׁ־מֵא֥וֹת אֶ֖לֶף וּשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֑ים וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וַחֲמִשִּֽׁים all who were enrolled came to 603,550 וְהַלְוִיִּ֖ם לְמַטֵּ֣ה אֲבֹתָ֑ם לֹ֥א התְפָּקְד֖וּ בְּתוֹכָֽם׃ — The Levites, (the most qualified ) however, were not recorded among them by their ancestral tribe.

Today in America. . . .
Where do our young people go to grow up these days? Often, to universities and colleges . . . .
Given what we know about the world today . . . . If our young people are studying in institutions of higher learning, (also known as American Academia), what does that say about our future?
It causes some to wonder, especially given the current state of affairs of the nation, is the fault simply within our young people, — or perhaps this is instead at the doorstep of our warehousing educational institutions . . . .
Here below, for our benefit, are some thoughts and observations of American Colleges and Universities of Higher Learning. For the record, I will leave a particular examination of the role of the Ivy League and/or the HBUCs for future analyses.
WIRE THE FOCUS PROJECT: SOME UNIVERSITIES ARE FAILING TO ENFORCE LAWS AND THEIR CODES OF CONDUCT, WHILE OTHERS ARE SHOWING MORAL CLARITY

Excerpt: Some universities are failing to enforce laws and their codes of conduct, while others are showing moral clarity. More than 2,000 protesters have been arrested. A few universities negotiated with pro-Hamas student protesters, resulting in a range of capitulations, despite violent acts: forming a committee to review investments (the University of California, Riverside), a possible divestment vote by the board of trustees (Brown University) and admitting Gaza students on scholarship (Rutgers University). Rutgers also agreed to amnesty for any students arrested. Seven Jewish members of Northwestern’s antisemitism committee resigned after a deal with protesters: “The overwhelming majority of your Jewish students, faculty, staff and alumni feel betrayed. They considered it home.” Universities taking a more active approach include the University of Florida. Its president affirmed that protesters “don’t get to take over the whole university.”
As if Academia could possibly be outdone in the world of absurdities, let us consider, for a brief moment, the Arts: A small film backlash has now begun . . . is it too little too late?
STUDIO SHTETL: The Arts, the Jews, and the Whitewashing out of the Jews:
L.A.’s Academy Museum (after a severe backlash) finally acknowledges the Jewish founders of ‘Hollywoodland’
A new exhibit about the Jewish history of the modern entertainment industry will be made permanent after the museum faced blowback for omitting Jews’ role when it first opened last year.
Excerpt: “When the museum opened last year, it met a flurry of criticism for leaving out the role that Jews played in the creation of Hollywood and the entertainment industry as we know it. Speaking to journalists to mark the opening, Stewart said that the critical responses to that omission helped shape the “Hollywoodland” exhibition and were part of the reason why the museum decided to make it a permanent part of the collection.”

Here’s something to think through: The War in Gaza is but one theatre in a world turned upside down — What we are witnessing, as I sometimes point out, is a War Against the Jewish People and simultaneously, a War Against Western Civilization. I would be more amused by groups such as Queers for Hamas and their chances of survival in the Mohamedan world if I were not so horrified by what would be done to them by the adherents of that particular strain of satanic poisonous weed. They are just a small and I might add, an ironic example of the level of absurdity to which many have become hypnotized and drawn to. I suspect, as I just as often point out, that this level of evil, coupled with the absurdities I allude to, will eventually find no solace in their newfound relationship.
Their ‘intersectional’ fascination with Hamas and the Mohamedin-Palestinian death cults will eventually give way to their untimely expiration —– and in keeping with the historical record, the Jewish People will live on.
To that extent, there is no end to history. Am Yisrael Chai is now. The People of Israel lives
